Puget Ridge bounty

We feel really lucky to live in the Puget Ridge area with such great neighbors.  Check out all the plums I picked from a friendly neighbor’s tree!

The apples came from a badly neglected tree in a vacant double lot near 18th Ave and Myrtle street.  There were at least 3 other apples trees on the property but they were so overgrown with blackberry vines that I couldn’t get close enough to pick.

I’d guess the trees were at least 30 years old so it was really sad to see them not getting the attention they need.  Hopefully whoever develops the lot(s) keeps the trees and gives them some TLC.  Until then I’ll keep picking!

10/20/15 Update:  RIP two apple trees.  The developer of the lot bulldozed everything between the road and the new house site.  They could have easily accessed the site without removing the trees, so sad.
